Terms of Service
1. What The Repertory Is
The Repertory is a voluntary, contributor-maintained standards database for luxury goods identification and data. It is not a commercial product, marketplace, or employment platform. Contributors participate because they believe in the integrity of the collective record — not in exchange for payment, equity, credit, or any other form of compensation.
By creating an account and activating an invite token, you agree to these Terms of Service in full.
2. Eligibility and Access
Access to The Repertory is granted by invitation only. Invite tokens are issued at the discretion of the Repertory Standards Council. Receiving an invitation does not create any contractual right to access, and access may be revoked at any time for any reason consistent with these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years of age to participate.
3. Nature of Contribution
All submissions made through The Repertory are voluntary contributions to a shared collective record. By submitting content — including but not limited to product identifications, authentication data, market listings, condition assessments, and glossary entries — you acknowledge:
- You are contributing freely, without expectation of compensation, payment, equity, attribution credit, or any professional benefit
- Your submission becomes part of The Repertory's canonical record and may be reviewed, modified, or removed by authorized curators
- You retain no exclusive rights over submitted content once accepted into the record
- Attribution to your contributor profile may be displayed within the platform in accordance with your tier and display settings, but is not guaranteed and may be adjusted or removed without notice
4. Content Standards
Submissions must be original, accurate, and made in good faith. You may not:
- Submit fabricated, fraudulent, or intentionally misleading data
- Submit content on behalf of a brand, retailer, or commercial entity to influence the canonical record
- Manipulate trust scores, submission queues, or review outcomes through any means
- Create multiple accounts or coordinate submissions to circumvent review standards
Ardor House Collective reserves the right to reject, modify, or remove any submission that does not meet the standards of The Repertory, without notice or explanation.
5. Intellectual Property
The Repertory database, its structure, curation methodology, and canonical records are the intellectual property of Ardor House Collective. Individual contributions do not vest ownership rights in the contributor.
You represent that any content you submit is either your original work or factual data in the public domain, and that your submission does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights.
6. Account Termination and Access Revocation
Ardor House Collective may suspend or permanently revoke your access at any time, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms, the Contributor Usage Terms, or at the discretion of the Repertory Standards Council. Upon revocation:
- Your account will be deactivated
- Approved contributions already in the canonical record may remain attributed or be anonymized at curator discretion
- Pending submissions will be removed from the queue
- You will not be entitled to any compensation, explanation, or appeal as a matter of right
You may voluntarily close your account at any time by contacting the curator team.
7. No Employment or Partnership Relationship
Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, contractor, partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship between you and Ardor House Collective. You are a voluntary contributor to a collective standards effort.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Repertory is provided as-is. Ardor House Collective makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content in the database. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ardor House Collective shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform.
9. Changes to These Terms
Ardor House Collective may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform following notice of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated via the platform or email.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of appropriate jurisdiction in California.
